Affiliate marketing book

I have decided to invest $20 into an affiliate marketing book,one that I found on one of those late nite infomercials. I have always said that I would not spend any money on this but, I am finding it harder & harder to figure this out on my own. I started promoting my zippo lighters affiliate about 3 weeks ago, I have yet to make a sale. I tried promoting thru online classified ads (all of them free to use) as well as directly submitting my affiliate into free search engine submissions,I did read that once you have submitted your site to a search engine it could take up to 6 months to be crawled (or included in their search engine) I am so glad that when I first started this site that's the very first thing that I did.
Anyways,I am not complaining yet lol........ I know that I have put many hours into this so,of course I am hoping that it pays off. I have heard thru a few affiliate forums that dating sites seem to be a good niche. So I am going to start promoting a few dating sites as well as my zippo's. I have added a banner to one of the dating sites that seems to be picking up speed.Back to what this entry was all about, I will let you know after I get my affiliates marketing book if it helped or not. One thing that ALL affiliate marketer's say is true it takes some time & effort to make it with Affiliate Programs. Email me directly if you have any tips or tricks to share I will place them here.
